Day 2: Your Least Favorite Polish

Hello, Everyone!  Here's the continuation of the 30 Day Nail Polish Challenge.  Let me just get straight to the point.  This challenge was extremely annoying.  So, the winner for the "Least Favorite Polish" challenge was SUPREMELY easy to pick.  The winner is hands down OPI DS mystery.  I hate this color so much, I could keep ranting on and on and on... But I won't.  I'll let the pictures speak for themselves.

Day 2: Your Least Favorite Polish is... OPI DS mystery

What's the mystery?  I don't know.  But it's a mystery why anyone would like this or wear this.

The pictures make it look much better than it really is.  In real life, the color almost looks black.  And it just looks grainy and awful and ugly and all sorts of other adjectives.

It was painful for me to wear this in public, but I did.  For the sake of the challenge.
I hate everything about this color.  It can not redeem itself.  Even the removal was annoying.  It wasn't hard to remove, but all the little gold shimmer/glitter particles got all over my hands.

I didn't bother with a top coat because I didn't plan on wearing more than a day.  I'm just glad I can put this behind me and never wear it again.

*continues rant*
I think I'm just angry because I payed so much for this color and I hate it.  It makes me angry just looking at it.  OKAY.  I'm done.  Have a nice day.

What is your least favorite polish?

Day 1: Your Favorite Nail Polish

Hello, Everyone!  Today I start the 30 Day Nail Polish Challenge!  Today's challenge is "your favorite nail polish".
Let me tell you, this one was HARD to pick.  I eventually came between two colors.  Lippmann Across the Universe and Nfu Oh 51.  I COULD NOT PICK.  Well, I mean, I did, but it was very hard.  And the winner for today's challenge is...

DAY 1: Your Favorite Nail Polish is... Nfu Oh 51

Just as a warning, it was impossible NOT to take a million pictures of this polish.

The picture below is awkward, but it is the only one that shows the green duochrome!
Look at it up close!  Look at the flakies! They change color in different light!

Look at the green, pink, purple, and blue!
Can we all agree that this is awesome in liquid polish form?

I used three thin coats, waiting for each coat to completely dry before adding another coat.  I used Out The Door top coat instead of Seche Vite because I didn't want to risk shrinkage.  Shrinkage and a jelly based polish do not agree. :D

This color is normally layered over another (I like using navy blues), but I wanted to show Nfu Oh 51 in its raw glory.

Now, I ask you:

What is your favorite color?

Halloween Spider Web Nails!

Hello, Everyone! FINALLY I have some Halloween nail art for you.  Even though Halloween is in 3 days... :D  I saw this nail art on another blog and I knew I had to recreate it.

 Products Used:

  • Seche Vite Base Coat
  • China Glaze Life Preserver
  • L.A. Colors Art Deco in Black
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

And then after a few days wear, I didn't want to remove it, but I wanted to change it up a bit.  So in comes China Glaze Fairy Dust.

The sparkle factor looked awesome.  The pictures don't look that great.  But you'll have to take my word for it. :)

So, what are YOU dressing up for Halloween? And if so, what/who are dressing as?

NBCAM (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month) #8

Hello, Everyone!  It comes to an end with this post.  This is the last Breast Cancer Awareness manicure.  I used OPI The One That Got Away.  The color is more "pink" (berry pink) in person.  The pictures make it look red.

Products Used:
  • Seche Vite Base Coat
  • OPI The One That Got Away
  • L.A. Colors Art Deco in White
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

SO that's IT.  Even though October is almost over, I'll have for sure one Halloween manicure.  Which will probably be tomorrow's post. :)  And I'll probably have a post with a collection of all the NBCAM manicures.

Until then, make it a great day!

NBCAM (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month) #7

Hello, Everyone!  I'm getting toward the end of my NBCAM manicures.  This is the second to last post.  After these posts, I'm doing HALLOWEEN nails for the rest of October!  It has been a very themed month.  And then in November I'll be diving into the 30 Day Nail Art Challenge. :D
 Products Used:
  • Seche Vite Base Coat
  • OPI Sparrow Me the Drama (pink)
  • China Glaze Concrete Catwalk (gray)
  • L.A. Colors Art Deco in White
  • Seche Vite Dry Fast Top Coat

Even thought Concrete Catwalk looks brown in the pictures, it's a dark gray in real life.  It's an awesome color, from the pretty amazing China Glaze Metro Collection.  HIGHLY recommend the entire collection.  It's a total WIN in my book.

NBCAM (National Breast Cancer Awareness Month) #6

Hello, Everyone!  Here's the next installment of my Breast Cancer Awareness manicures.  Today you all get to see one of OPI's designer series nail polishes!  But the pictures are horrible becuase they
re taken under a lamp.  The sun decided to leave me for a few days. :( But nonetheless, here is OPI DS Extravagance.

Products Used:
  • Seche Vite Base Coat
  • OPI DS Extravagance
  • L.A. Colors Art Deco in White
NO TOP COAT USED.
Yes, the polish is that shiny naturally!  I've noticed that all the OPI DS colors dry naturally REALLY shiny without a top coat.

The wear for this color is always great, even without a top coat.  And it stays super shiny for its entire wear.  The extra money is definitely worth it with this color.
Unfortunately NO SUN = NO HOLO.  So I couldn't get any good pictures.  But believe me when I say this color is gorgeous in the sun.

November Plans: 30 Day Nail Polish Challenge

After my October Breast Cancer Awareness posts, when November starts I want to join in on the ever so popular 30 Day Nail Polish Challenge.

I don't think I'll be changing my nails every day, lol.  But I get bored fast, so probably every other day I'll do a post for the challenge.  I'm already imagining what colors I want to use...

Other blogs participating:

I encourage non-bloggers to participate as well!  Even if your nail polish stash isn't quite as... big as ours. :D
